Trina Grindheim - Kinesiologist

Growing up in California, Trina developed a passion for health and fitness from an early age as she loved spending time outdoors playing sports and working out. She played a variety of competitive sports before she discovered her passion for golf in middle school. She was on the girl’s golf team in high school where she played in tournaments and practiced many hours on her own to develop and improve her game. In college she played in various amateur golf events while continuing to work on her game and hone her skills. Trina attended UCLA for two years as a Communications Major before realizing she wanted to focus her undergraduate studies on kinesiology due to her life-long love for being active, her passion for health and fitness, and her interest in the human body’s movement capabilities. Therefore, she transferred schools to finish her degree at California State University, San Marcos, earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology.  She continued to learn and add to her knowledge base, becoming a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She is also Level 1 Certified through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) to help clients improve their golf performance through golf-specific fitness training.

Philosophy and Practice

Trina incorporates some form of exercise into her schedule every day and practices or plays golf every chance she gets. She holds a holistic view of health and wellbeing and wants to share it with others, so they can achieve their best physical, mental, and emotional states of health in order to lead their best lives and become the best versions of themselves. Trina views every client as an individual with unique goals and a special purpose in life and therefore tailors her training to fit each client’s needs. Because golf is so close to Trina’s heart, she has a special interest in working with and training golfers of all ages and abilities in order to help them not only improve their swing and game, but also, more importantly, to help them improve their functionality in daily life and overall health.
